Hello there!

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Fallon Drinkall and I am a Practitioner of Chinese Medicine & Registered Acupuncturist here at Advanced Women’s Health. I grew up in a small town just south of the Yukon border. My hometown had a mere 20 people who lived in it year-round and the nearest “neighbouring city” was 4 hours away. I lived my life in the outdoors without power until I was 15 years old. Growing up so in touch with my surroundings deepened my understanding of how our environment impacts our internal state.

My passion for medicine was recognized at a young age where I would spend countless hours craning over anatomical texts. I decided to set my passion into motion in 2018, igniting a deep desire from within to help those in need. My studies began and I dove deep into the books and my practice. It is one of my greatest joys to study human physiology and how I may be of assistance to those who may need it.

I aim within my practice here, to offer patients a sense of spaciousness. To arrive as they are to help facilitate a state of healing from whatever they may be facing. I practice from a state of ease and comfort intertwining both Western anatomical sciences and Eastern holism to approach the body in an integrated fashion. Noting that individuals are not ‘mind’ and ‘body’ as separate concepts, but both simultaneously.

Within my years of research and study, I identified a great need for support in women’s health, fertility, menopause, autoimmune disorders, nervous system regulation and chronic pain. These are all areas which pique my interest, although my practice is not limited and I welcome all with a warm heart. I hope to speak to you soon to figure out if my approach aligns with your specific needs. Feel free to reach out to me with a free 15-minute consultation in which we can discuss specific modalities and treatment courses.

With light, Fallon Drinkall

Boasting over a decade of expertise as an orthopaedic and pelvic health physiotherapist in Ontario, Katie has recently embraced her move to the beautiful Kelowna. She obtained her Honours Degree in Biomedical Science from the University of Guelph, followed by her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto. During her formal educational years, Katie took a particular interest in anatomy and the connectedness of different structures in the body with the pelvis as a key pillar.

While navigating her own struggles with challenging menstrual periods, back pain and persistent pelvic pain, Katie became passionate about pelvic health physiotherapy early on in her career. She continues to update her skills with courses growing her toolset to help her clients better achieve their goals. Through a tailored approach involving multiple modalities including hands-on manual treatment, acupuncture and exercise, Katie strives to identify the root of her clients’ concerns so they can take control of their health and get back to what they enjoy the most in life.

Katie is experienced in treating a variety of pelvic health conditions and has taken a special interest in addressing pain with intimacy, endometriosis struggles, pregnancy pain and preparing for delivery, postpartum recovery including diastasis recti concerns, and navigating the effects of cancer treatment on the pelvis. She has presented at several fitness groups geared toward new mothers and cancer-specific events focused on pelvic health. Hi. I’m Dani.

First, I’m glad you are here. This step isn’t an easy one. Seeking therapy is brave; finding a counsellor that fits isn’t always easy. My approach is multidimensional and personalized, drawing from various evidence-based practices, which include somatic, attachment, and mindfulness practices. While we can’t predict how we might respond to challenging situations, we can work to renegotiate our memories by accessing our body’s unique means of responding to triggers. The method is layered; together, we might consider your earliest attachments in childhood, how you have interpreted a traumatic experience and even your intersectionalities on a macro level. Once this evidence is gathered, activation is located in the physical body, energy is addressed and worked with somatically to encourage the nervous system toward emotional regulation in a trauma-informed way.

I always want to create a space that allows you to feel safe, relaxed, and free from judgment. I work from a feminist perspective, meaning you are not something that is broken and needs fixing. You are whole and have adapted to your environment in ways that served you until now. With compassion, openness, and a bit of humour, I’d like to help you meet yourself.

I am passionate about social justice and consider how resources, opportunities and privileges affect our well-being. I strive to work holistically and access emotional regulation through nervous system integration to allow you to step into your power and live a life not void of suffering but equipped with the tools to navigate our time on earth.

I have experience working with youth (14 to 19 years old), adults, families and couples. I help navigate stress and burnout, relational trauma (infidelity, domestic violence, divorce, abuse and codependency), birth and incidental trauma, sports performance and anxiety, parent-teen mediation, grief and life transitions, imposter syndrome, suicidal ideation and self-harm, communication and boundaries, eating disorders, substance use and addiction.

When you feel ready, you can reach out for a free twenty-minute consultation.
