Booking Tips

  • Confirm you’ve chosen the right location (some practitioners work at multiple clinics).
  • Select the correct appointment type (In-Person or Telemedicine/Virtual).
  • Please pre-book your first follow-up (approx. 5 weeks after your initial Naturopathic visit).

Dr. Shyrose Karim

With more than 25 years of clinical experience, Dr. Shyrose Karim is passionate about helping patients restore their health, improve their quality of life, and achieve lasting wellness. She believes every patient deserves to feel heard, understood, and empowered to take an active role in their health. Her goal is to identify the root cause of illness and create personalized treatment plans that support long-term health.

Dr. Karim earned her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree from Sonoran University of Health Sciences in Arizona and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Physiology & Kinesiology from Simon Fraser University. She combines advanced diagnostic testing with evidence-informed natural therapies and conventional medical knowledge to provide comprehensive, individualized care.

Her clinical interests include women’s and men’s health, LDN therapy, weight management, thyroid and adrenal health, digestive concerns, healthy aging, skin health, and hair restoration. She also has advanced training in pharmaceutical prescribing, acupuncture, intravenous (IV) therapy, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy for hair and aesthetic, chelation therapy, homeopathy, and T3 thyroid therapy.

Dr. Terrie Van Alstyne

Dr. Terrie began her career as a certified chef before developing a deep passion for herbal medicine, nutrition, and healthy lifestyle practices. Inspired by her own Naturopathic Doctor while attending university, she pursued naturopathic medicine and has now been in practice for over 25 years.

Recognized as the “Most Outstanding Clinician” in her graduating class at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, Dr. Terrie went on to establish successful naturopathic clinics in Whitby, Ontario and Qualicum Beach, Vancouver Island. She later spent five years as Western Accounts Manager for Douglas Labs Pure Encapsulations, where she trained integrative healthcare practitioners in advanced nutritional supplementation.

Dr. Terrie has also completed extensive training in medical aesthetics, incorporating treatments such as Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF), Nutritional Skin Boosters, hyaluronic acid, neurotoxins, and dermal fillers to support skin rejuvenation and healthy aging.
